Schrijftips ~ over de regenboog

Hieronder wil ik weer eens met jullie de brief delen, zoals ik die deze maand aan onze sponsor-en schrijfkinderen van Compassion heb gestuurd. 

Voel je vrij om hem over te nemen en, aangevuld met wat persoonlijke details, te sturen aan je eigen sponsorkind, of alleen als inspiratie te gebruiken.

I send you and your family our love and greetings.
Hierna schreef ik:
- over dat de schoolvakantie weer voorbij is, en onze kinderen weer naar school gaan.  Ik vertelde ook in welke groep ze nu zitten.
- over de spelletjes die ze op het schoolplein spelen (tikkertje)
- over de meisjes die op het plaatselijke kinderkoor zitten en nog wat bijzonderheden daarover

  Then I want to share with you something about the rainbow.
Have you ever seen a rainbow in the sky?

God’s promise was for all the generations to come. God promised there would never again be a flood to destroy the earth. This covenant of grace shows God’s commitment to redeem His creation and gives a sign for all to see. Here’s a window for us to look into His heart. He doesn’t wish to destroy what He’s created. He wants to redeem, restore and sustain all that He’s made.

In Revelation 4:3 we read that there is a rainbow around the Lord’s throne in heaven. You can only see a rainbow where there’s light and 1 John 1:5 says ‘God is light’. The rainbow has the whole spectrum of colour and displays the beauty of our God.
It has seven main colours and the number seven speaks of perfection, so it’s a truly wonderful sign for the whole world to see.

The rainbow should remind us to be thankful to the One who gives the rain and the sun to sustain life. God is a covenant keeping God and when He promises to help us, He doesn’t change His mind, but is utterly dependable. We can trust Him completely.
For me a rainbow is a special gift from God through nature, whenever I encounter one I stop everything and watch in wonder.

I want you to remember that God loves you, and that we loves you. We pray God for protection of you and your family and may He bless you abundantly.
